| Job Description | Job PurposeTo manage the hospital’s credit control function by overseeing billing, debt collection, and account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments, and optimal cash flow for financial sustainability. Duties and responsibilitiesReporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the position holder will be responsible for the following: i. Participating in the formulation, review, and implementation of the hospital’s credit control policies and procedures. ii. Ensuring compliance with statutory and hospital regulations in all credit control transactions. iii. Reviewing posting and balancing of payment, rejection, and adjustment transactions for accuracy and timely account closure. iv. Collaborating with team members to deliver effective billing services and follow-up for account reconciliation. v. Managing assigned accounts by monitoring billings, collections, contractual postings, payments, and adjustments. vi. Resolving incoming queries on billing or outstanding accounts from patients, insurance companies, and consultants professionally. vii. Updating system notes with account activity, status, and expected reimbursement. viii. Developing service level agreements and executing third-party contracts as delegated. ix. Applying reminders and follow-up actions to ensure timely debt recovery.

Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. iii. Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) qualification or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. iv. At least nine (9) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which should be in the grade of a Senior Accountant or in a comparable position. v. Professional membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). vi. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks. vii. Proficiency in computer applications. viii.
