Job Description

Job Purpose
To provide physiotherapy services through patient assessment, rehabilitation, treatment planning,
documentation, data collection, and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Head, Rehabilitative Services, the position holder will be responsible for the
following:
i. Screening and assessing patients to determine physiotherapy needs and appropriate
interventions.
ii. Providing therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation services to support recovery and improve
mobility.
iii. Verifying and maintaining accurate patient information and treatment records.
iv. Designing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and clinical
guidelines.
v. Writing patient case notes and compiling physiotherapy statistics for reporting and analysis.
vi. Collecting data for operational research to inform service improvement.
vii. Sensitizing the community on physiotherapy issues and promoting awareness of
rehabilitation services.
viii. Preparing periodic reports on physiotherapy activities and outcomes.
ix. Any other duty as may be assigned.

Job Specification

Qualifications and Experience Requirements
i. Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
ii. Registration with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
iii.Valid license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
iv.Proficiency in computer applications.
v. Compliance with Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations - (Certificate of good conduct)
  • Higher Education Loans Board - (Compliance certificate, where applicable)
  • Ethics and Anti – Corruption Commission - (Self-Declaration form)
  • Credit Reference Bureau - (Certificate of clearance or credit report)
